As a biomechanist, my goal is to study the structure and function of the human body through the use of mechanics. My research has been focused on the biomechanics of leaning and downward reaching movements in young and older women [Curriculum Vitae].

1. Investigation of risk factors for injury or disability during the performance of goal-directed movements through the use of experimental and theoretical models 

2. Exploration of speed-accuracy tradeoffs in the control of whole body movements

3. Age-related and disease-related changes in postural control

4. Understanding the behavioral and neural mechanisms underlying postural dysfunction in older adults with and without Parkinson's disease

5. Non-linear dynamical analysis of short and noisy time series data
